| happy new year to all.....the first day of the year2002 brought happiness for me ,,i passed ccie written with 86%...i was counting on to see above 90 but anyways felt comfortable enough to see 86%..as for resources there are the usual one sthat i used...
---tcp/ip by jeff doyle(vol 1)
---- internet routing architecture(halabi)
----bridges and switches (bruce caslow///definitley written for the lab but still helps for written)
--all the official books for ccna and ccnp by cisco
----boson tests are good too
----cbts .....
----loads of white papers on the net--
----etc etc..
as for the exam without breaking the nda ,,i would say that donot underestimate this test ,,cisco guys definitely know how to fool test takers by asking obscure questions,,,u have to know the ccie outline by cisco inside out and upside down ....the more u study for this exam the better u will find urself during the lab....hands on is definitely a plus with this one...took me 10 months to complete ccna, ccnp an dfinally ccie written,,i will take some rest now before i go for hunting down the lab.... | |

| Gladiator, You should take a rest and read a good tech manual Congrats on the pass!
You deserve a pay raise just for passing the written. Tell management I said so!
Good luck on the lab whenever you decide! | |

| Congrates ! but do you mean it took you only 10 months to complete CCNA, CCNP and CCIE (written) inclusive ? Wow, how did you do it in such a short time, are you studying full time? Care to share how you did it?
With due respect,
Nico |
