Multilinking 2 different ISP's connection

| Hi guys....i need help on multilinking.....i reside in Pakistan/Karachi and there the internet connection on normal dialups is way too slow...i hav internet accounts of 2 different ISP's with which i connect using PPP....i hav 2 modems and 2 telephone lines...Is there a way without involving the ISP that i can hav a multilink connection on 2 different ISP's...if possible then please let me know how?...Waiting desperately for the replies...Kumar | |

| No. Multilink requires the involvement of of the RAS device. And though multi-link multi-chassis is supported, I certainly don't think you're going to be able to do that between two different compaines.

| he's right bonding requires load-balancing
fragmenting and reassembling the packets on either
end of the connection at the isp i worked for
we used a static ip (mostly for 128k isdn)
there is now multilink multichassis ppp
accross different devices
but that has to be under the same admisistrative control ie same ip or isp.
so i concur the answer is no. 
wht don't you contact and inquire with both of the isp's about a modem bonding or shotgun setup ?
