Hi,
Does anyone attended a good value CCIE bootcamp for their CCIE preparation
LAB exam? I really do not want to spent my money on classes that only
offers
concepts and simple LAB setups. If anyone have good recommendation, please
point me to the right direction. Thanks.

Regards,
Sam.

Here is what I heard is a good CCIE Bootcamp

http://www.heinzulm.com

It last for 15 days and is fully booked until March 2002. It run on Germany i think and I can't find the cost in their web site. May be you want to have a look. Probably cost you more than US$5000 for the course along + air ticket, accomdation.

For practice lab, www.ccbootcamp.com have a few and they are not cheap. If you need second hand cisco equipments & practice labs, give me a email, I have some for sales.

I've also heard Heinz Ulm is very very good, albiet expensive and far away. I'd love to go to him when the time comes and his website is packed with information. He is very slow about answering emails but he will get back to you eventually. He wants, I believe, you to have already passed your CCIE written at the time you make your reservation and he's booked about 9 months in advance. Good luck!

Just an update about the cost for those who are interested, it is Euro 9000. And hotel accomondation is Euro 80 including breakfast.

That is buddy expensive, isn't it?

Caslow is part of a company in Northern Virginia that runs one for about $3400 a week. Suppose to be one of the best.

Do you know the name of the bootcamp in Va.? Are you doing it completely on your own or attending boot camp yourself?

I'll get the exact name later today cuz I can't seem to remember it right now but I do plan on attending it if and when I feel I have a great shot at passing the LAb on my first attempt.

I have purchased a pretty good setup on EBay and have my Lab date set for late March so if my confidence is up I'll attend the class in late Jan. That way I can still change my Lab date if I don't feel good about my chances.

Thanks! I'm sure with all of your self study and work that a bootcamp will just be the finishing touch...any info you can share with us will be great. Germany is a long way to go....

This is the link to the class I mentioned and although it is offered in other cities I was referring to the Falls Church, VA people (suburb of Wash DC).

and any of these are closer than Germany

Thanks for the information....I'm only working on my CCNP but starting to build my home lab and it's never too early to start to nail down resources. What can I say - hope springs eternal.
