hi ppl,
one question whether Pixes are able to do the following things.

The szenario is:
I hve to assign to a Core router a public ip adress on Fastehternet. Actually the problem being solved if i use NAT and assign an internal ip address to a router, but as we r working with VOIP Gateways. THe Voice Gateways getting problem with NAT and not able to function properly. So thatswhy there is no other possibility as to assign FastEthernet an public ip adress.

Now if i attach the router direct to PIX external interface and assign a Public iP adress and at the second external Interface i creat a DMZ Zone and assign this second interface also an IP Public address which is from the same IP RANGE. Would it going to work ??

like

Pix external Interface 1 193.251.249.25
security 0 (router is directly patched)
PIX external Interface 2 193.251.249.26 security 50 (DMZ Zone) ?

Is there any other possiblity?

THanx

Rjohn I would suggest that you join the yahoo.ccie secruity forum and the post the question there it seems like a scenario type question that one of those ccie security candiates wouldn't mind taking a shot at.
