| I got both my ccna and ccnp in eight months. I am on to the CCIE, and feel that i will do well on the written test, the lab is a different story. From what i understand you take the written test, and it is good for 12 months. WIthin that 12 month period you have to take the lab. My question is if you take the lab and fail, or do not take the lab within the first 12 months and you have passed the CCIE written, when the CCIE written cert expires, what happens to the CCNP. Do you loose this status? I heard rumors that you do loose CCNP status if you obtain CCIE written and it expires? I doubt this is true, but just checking to make sure.
