| i am currently working on the i-net+, but I am thinking about taking a cisco exam in the future. I don't know much about the cisco exams, could your briefly explain the differences between them.
I am currently a programmer, but I want to also get into networkin. I do some networking for the company that I work for right now. Although they do not have any cisco products, I would like to learn so that I might become an xpert network admin/analyst.
What and how should I start to get on my way. How much is a basic router that I could use to learn IOS. The router that I have is my little 677 for dsl.

| if you can pass n+ and i-net +
then you've already started on your way.
my 2 cents
buy a ccna study guide ,
you'll get plenty of advice here on what to get.
search the archives for past posts
whether you get sybex , exam cram or whatever
ccna is passable from books only

look into the sybex virtual ccna trainer
or the cisco product line ... i've found it best
to learn from the source. |
