| Well, that wasn't too bad. I guess Comptia updated their scoring measures for Server+. I was expecting a score in the hundreds but found an 85 instead. So, now the test is scored out of 100 and anything over 75 is passing. I scored an 85. Everything you hear about this exam is correct. It relies heavily on your experience and memorizing will not help on this one. You need to have some real-time experience. If you do, this exam will be a piece of cake. I've been in charge of an IT department, including managing a production server room, for the past 5 years, so the turnaround time between studying for and passing this exam was only 2.5 weeks.
I used the Sybex Server+ Study Guide, and the Server+ Certification Bible. I highly recommend the latter.
Next up for me is Security+, Linux+, then I may switch gears towards an MCSE 2003, or a CCNA, not sure yet.
Take care. |
