Two Server+ questions...

| Hello all! I have been reading posts from this site for months, and have really found this a great resource for those interested in certification. I only write today because this is the first time I've had questions that someone hasn't already asked (or if they have, I couldn't find it).
First, does anyone recommend getting the Server+ certification before taking the MCSA 70-215 (Windows 2000 Server) exam? I have years of experience with workstations, but practically no experience with servers. Suggestions??
Second, has anyone read the following book: Examwise for Comptia Server+ Certification Exam Sk0-001 by J. Michael Woznicki (ISBN: 1590952650)? I've seen most recommend the Server+ Bible, although many readers have commented on the grammatical errors and typos. This was the newest book I could find, but newer doesn’t always mean better. Any other book recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and good luck to all!

| Woznicki is good. Server+ Bible by Trevor Kay? It's good.
Don't limit yourself to just one source of study. Get'em both.
It shouldn't matter if you take Server+ first as it is all about hardware and the MS exams are about software.
Drop me a PM with your email addy and I can send you a few items. | |
