| Hi Everyone,
Good to be "Back in Ac" with you folks.
I know this is a Server+ forum but nobody will answer me in WINXP??? So I have to rely on my old buddies from here which is ok by me. I was just wondering which one to go with to shoot for my MCP in Windows XP.
Windows XP certification for Dummies
or
Mike Meyers Windows XP Passport.
Any other books you would recommend first?
Any suggestions or new ideas?
Please give me some insight
Thanks so much for your time again.

| Your primary text for an exam should not be a Dummies book or a passport unless you already have substantial familiarity with the subject matter. These are good for additional study tools. Try going to Amazon.com and look up books for this test and read customer reviews. | |

| Hi Ian
An excellent choice would be MSPress books. The 2nd edition ones comes with the exam prep & evaluation win2k & even a networking encyclopedia.
I've survived 2 MCP exams so far with MSPress self study books (sitting 218 soon) and I think they pretty much cover most of what you need to know to write exam.
Sounds you're preparing for 270, Good Luck with that. | |

| Passed 218 on Mon, thanks to MSPress. It helped. | |
