| From what I hear people are saying the Server+ exam is pretty tough. I am trying to make up my mind whether to take it (especially if it's of practical use).
I took the Net+ exam in September. I have heard it has got more difficult recently. Does anyone know how it currently compares the Server+ exam?
I'm working for the CCDA exam right now...and wow..it's not very easy! | |

| It is definately worth it. But, before you do advanced hardware shouldn't you take A+? | |
|
| I second Tech Ranger on that. (Although I'm A+less even though I've the Server+ cert, I could aced it anytime. It just that my training budget doesn't allow me the opportunity to sit for it. An A+ means 4 MS 70-XXX exams here.)
The point is, unless you're already great with A+ basics and you're going for a higher certification, get the Server+. The subject matter emphasis is different from Network+. Server+ is trickier to pass judging from comparisons made with a colleague of mine who wrote the Net+ exam at the same time I did the Server+.
Server+ knowledge is pretty useful on the way to an MCSE.
Good Luck on the CCDA! | |

| Thanks everyone, I appreciate the advice. I will have a look at the a+ exam.... Have got the book already at least!
I always seem quite good at doing things ther wrong way round, I am working for the CCDA before doing the CCNA...suppose I should have learnt my lesson..... |
