| Guys,
I don't know if I should get a new book to study or just go back over the server+ bible and do some more questioning.
Actually I may just stick with the bible and pick up the transcenders. HoweverI hear the Dummies book is real helpfull. I am still undecided on how to approach this exam the second time around. Anybody have any suggestions. Do I even need another book? I know the material real we'll right now. I studied long and hard for server+ but still no luck. I failed it. I studied for over two months consistently and never skipped a page in the bible. I have two notebooks full of notes and like 4 packages of index cards full. Do I just need more practice exams or would you recommend another book like the dummies.
Please give me some insight on how to go about studying for it the second time around.

Go over your exam report from the testing center. Concentrate on your weak areas. Yes, get another book to get fresh perspective. Don't trust practice exams.
Pick up Transenders, if you've got the bucks (again, just different perspective).
I've probably got 6+ months worth of QOD from here at Examnotes. Drop me a PM w/email add. and I will forward them, if you like.
Take a deep breath. You've seen the exam once. That's a HUGE advantage.

I surely will. And I am going to get the Dummies book. I will ask for your questions after I study the book. It's just how I do things in my studying regimen.
Thankyou so much for all your help Super-Tech. I REALLY appreciate all your contributions and I am sure I am speaking for everybody on this board. Thanks Bud

| I think I've gathered enough resources as well for my Server+ preparations. I've accumulated Server+ Bible (Hungry Minds), Server+ Certification for Dummies (Hungry Minds), Server+ Exam Cram (Coriolis) and Server+ Certification Training Kit (MS Press). This amount of prep materials is above and beyond what I normally would use/purchase so far, but you hear people talk. I'm in no rush to obtain this cert so I think I'll be ready in a couple of months or so. | |

| Sounds like you have amassed a pretty good arsenal. Don't forget to sign up for Examnotes QOD for Server+. Study guides from here and cramsession.
Good luck. now go read something!

| Thanks SuperTech. I knew I should have mentioned something about the QoDs though. I've already suscribed and working my way toward a month's worth. No where near your 6 months worth of questions however. I also have the Server+ objectives list from CompTIA's website as well. Cheers! |
