hello everybody I've reciently passed my A+ and I am looking at what exam to take next (server+ or network+)

Between server + and network +

which one is the newest(which was first)
which one is harded?
which one is better (why)?
Whats the main difference between the two?

Server + went live in early 2001
A+ has been around 5 years +.

Server+ is harder.

Server+ is better. It is an advanced certification. A+ is entry level.

Approx 8% of Network+ objectives overlap the A+ objectives.
Approx 10% of Server+ objectives overlap the A+ objectives.
Approx 19% of Server+ objectives overlap the Network+ objectives.

For the differences, go to www.comptia.org print out the objectives and have a look. The difference will be obvious.

I would recommend Network+ first.

I asked the same quesion some time back and did a poll as well. Network+ was the winner in a big way. See the link below and the reasons people gave.
