Exam Gear anyone use it

| I got a book published by new riders it's an exam gear book. It covers Server+ and it totally awesome good material and an easy read combined with my Sybex book I don't see how I could fail as long as I study hard. If anyone else knows of them or has used them on any exam let me know I would like to see how people do with their books | |

| Hi JeremyWatts,
I'm using Server+ guide from NewsRider + Examgear from the book. I think it's AWESOME, i'm going to take server+ this tuesday (again). I've used Server+ Bible and it wasn't good enough to hack the exam.
The Server+ Guide from NewsRider is way better than server+ bible, probably because the author is Server+ SME. But anyway good luck with your exam and i'll tell you guys how mine goes this tuesday.. | |

| I used the Server+ Bible
and it worked for me.
I thought it was a great book
for the exam.
I have not heard much about the
New Riders book in this forum.
So I can't comment on it.
But your best bet is to go to amazon.com
and do a search for Server+
and see all the books available
and check out the reviews
and make a decision from there.
A book can only teach you so much for this exam the rest is experience.

| Thanks got the experience just need a little touching up read the reviews on Amazon and the reviews were all good the only people who really weren't liking the book were rookies who are newer to IT not pros like us | |

| Yeah, just don't take this exam lightly,
it is pretty difficult. Get as many
study resources as you can get.
There have been a lot of people in this forum who have years of experience
but had trouble passing this exam.
It's Comptia's hardest one.

| I'm definitely not taking it lightly I spent a little over 2 months on a+ and I spent around 2 1/2 months on Network+. I go at a snails pace on certs because my wife and I are on a on shot one kill basis if I fail we won't try it again to expensive we have a limited education budget. I got the exam gear at half price books for 20 bucks and it's the 2002 edition I've been studying my brains out had this week off and spent 4 plus hours a day studying and reading and testing in my lab | |
