Server + Was Tough Even For Experienced Me (Help a Bro Out!)

| Lol, I thought I had a pretty decent grasp on server technologies being it that I have set a few up, administrated, troubleshooted etc., but it seems maybe my head got a lil "too big". I failed that S+ puppy after practically aceing the A+, and N+. I knew it bout 15 questions into ot when I started to feel uneasy about my answers, like it could be this, but instead I just answered how it I would do it. Anyway, you guys who passed this puppy you got any good tips on what exactly I should study. Used exam cram and I was answering the questions np. Used the cert21.com S+ practice tests and did pretty well. Jeez, I lost some confidence here. Not too much I have ever have problems with in the computing realm the past couple of years and I PISSED OFF and feel like a DAMN IDIOT. Heh heh, now me and server + gotta lock horns and was wonderin' if anyone got some good info on that S+. I felt like a lil punk walking out of there, like no SKILLZ period. Anyway, I am done whining (had to get that SH*& off my chest). Gots to conquer this damn test now. I have to agree with AMD kidz post, I thought alot of the answers were not completely definitive. Anyone got any concrete info (...or .nfo heh heh) on this baby to pass it? I was like 72% and just pissed off to no end. Damn, I suck. Help me out peeps! | |

| Forget the practice tests. They seem to be lulling everyone into a false sense of security.
Take the cramsession:
http://studyguides.cramsession.com/...comptia/server/
Do an exhaustive search of each item with your favorite search engine. pay attention to sites by major supporters & contributors of the exam:
http://www.comptia.org/certificatio...rplus/index.htm
Even if you think you already know it, study it.
You now have the advantage of having seen the exam once. Concentrate on the areas you were weak in (the exam report from the testing center).
Endeavour to persevere. I like your attitude.

| I think the links that Supertech
provided will help you out big time.
I used the Server+ Bible to study with
and passed using that. Its probably the best book out there for this exam. But with the Server+ exam it's more 3/4 raw book knowledge (the facts)and the rest is on the job experience oriented.
With the short time limit CompTIA gives you for the exam, you have to think fast just like in the real world in a real life situation.

| Shout out to the guys helpin' us weak A$$ wannabee S+ failures out.
Thanks for the additional info.
Now to put it to good use (shoot, I hope anyways).
I retest this mother****** about a week, so I promise to post my results then.
Don't even want to think about failing this POS again, so wish me luck and hope I don't fall on my a$$ hard like I did this week (damn it hurts bad too).
Wobble..wobble.............'till next week's episode kidz.........

| Sorry to here that you failed.
Agree with dagger and Supertech post.
also I would start with the score sheet they gave you after the test.
Look and see were your weak spot are and start there.
One last thing were you close and don't you think that a week is a little too soon to retest.I see lots of post of people failing a test three to four time from rushing it. |
