| I've purchased the Transcender for Server+, study my brains out only to fail the test. Transcender is not good enough to pass this certification. Does anyone have any good and decent materials? | |
|
| I used Transcender, along with several other books, resources, exam simulators. I thought Transcender was fairly decent. It tested on several topics that were on the test. It shouldnt be used as your only study source, but it does help. | |

| Transcender is a decent resource for the exam. However, it is not worth the money you have to shell out for it. The exam is too poorly written to find a single resource that will enable you to pass it. | |

| JerryL, recently certified, says...

I would say it is the subject matter that precludes the single resource.

| I used the Hungry Minds book and test along with VN Publishing Exam Prep. These alone won't get you a pass. Find any study guides that deal with SCSI, memory issues and server troubleshooting. That will get you into the ball park.
I've been doing this work for quite a while, and it's still a difficult test. Know your stuff!!

I used that book, and it helped me pass
but I didn't use the VN Pub exam prep.
But I have not heard anything too bad about it.
The test is not easy
but it's passable for the people who actually
put the proper study time in.
Everyone is crying
because they expect to go in to this exam
and see i-Net+ questions or something......

| I've used VN Publishing's tests for A+,
i-Net+, and Server+. The practice exams were definitely better for the A+ and INET+ exams. For SERVER+, it was mainly helpful in finding out my weaker areas. Although the practice questions themselves were not that close to the real exam (many were way off), it still helped me learn some of the subject matter. It's worth $20, but don't use it to guage the difficulty of the questions on the real exam.

| I have used Exam Drill for just every exam until now and always pass and was very sad to see they had no Server+ Exam Drill.
I got an email from them today. Now I see they have added a Server+ exam drill to their, albeit very limited but I think very good, range of products. They also have a free (I think) 100 page pdf study guide to download. Although I haven't done that yet. I will let you know later what I think.

| I have not yet passed the test but would like to recommend the Server+ preparation guide from Exam Drill. There is a long study guide with the practice test (therefor no brain dump). Unfortunately it is a very large download or I should say several downloads.
I will report on the accuracy of the material tomorrow when I have schedualed Server+. |
