| I posted this opinion in a thread and the response was that this thread is going nowhere and it was locked. Don't you understand that this is an intergrity question. Are you or are you not selecting or deleting anything on these boards based on what is good for the owners?
Hey is this true Mod's?
Are you selecting or basing anything on who own's this site?
If this is untrue, then shame on you pofeck for spreading B*. If it's true Mod's shame on you!
I would like to know the answer. Who is speaking the truth?

| I don't want this to be a braindump site either. But if you are deleting comments or threads just because they speak ill of this site or its practice exams then thats an issue with me. If you are highlighting threads or comments because they praise this site or their exams is wrong. And its bad for us to make an objective judgement on whats best for us indiviually if we don't have this information. | |

| This is a commercial site.
I do believe P.T. Barnum was right.
Integrity is a subjective term.

| That's fine with me. Just let me know that up front. You can see how long I've been hanging around these boards. Over 2 and a half years. I'm not complaining about the way things are run. Not complaining about the site. I just had a question about a question that was posted in a thread and then it got locked. I though it was a freedom of speech issue or that the boards were being managed according to what's good for the site (that by itself is not bad). I just wanted to know the answer and it was answered in a private email and I now know where the site and its admin's stand. That was what my question was really about. Just what is the truth. | |

| 1) For the record I don't like brain dumps either and I don't use them
2) It has been a long time since I have edit, lock or deleted any post.
3) I don't think cert21 is a brain dump site.
I also say that if the web master says that it is a brain dump I would start deleting it from post.As for locking the post it was because the post did not seem to helpful to are goals and was going know were.
Complaining about brain will not stop the use or spread of brain dumps and only fires everyone up.My advise is to do what you think is right and not worry about the others who use them. They are only hurting them self.
I hope this answers your all questions If not then I am not sure what you want to know.
ps What bugs me more then brain dumps is people talking about brain dumps and wasteing all are time.

| Hey guys:
Looks like you guys have been having fun in here! Hi Ace - good to see ya!
As for the big integrity question:
1. Yes cert21 is owned by Exam Notes. So is CertPortal. Big deal - so what. MCPMag, TCPMag and Certcities are owned by the same people but you don't see any big integrity questions about that.
2. I have never seen a moderator select or base editing posts based on who owns a particular site. I know in the A+ forum, I don't allow braindump links period - that's just the way it is. And ya know what - the members of the forum always PM me right away if a braindump link gets in there - they want them gone as bad as I do.
3. I don't allow illegal trading or swapping of materials in the A+ forum, and those posts always get edited and the thread gets locked. That's just the way it is.
4. Spam isn't tolerated in general on this site. If you have a product and you want to sell it - have integrity and buy an add.
Also - when we delete or edit spam posts, they are usually posted by fly-by-night people who come in and post the same thing in every single forum.
5. To the best of my knowledge, no moderator on this site has edited or deleted a post that spoke badly of this site. People are allowed to have an opinion. The only time I would think that those posts would get deleted would be if they contained threats, foul language, or were posted by someone who just got nailed for spamming the forums.
6. To the best of my knowledge, no moderators on this site have deleted or edited posts based on what is best for the owners. To be honest with ya, I don't even know who the major sponsors are for this site, because that is none of my business. My job is to moderate, not to do the book work and accounting.
7. I have never seen a moderator highlight a post that spoke well of this site. Tell me where you've seen a post about the site that was highlighted. I'd like to see it.
8. Ace did the right thing by locking that thread. It was going nowhere, except to spark a debate.

Good to hear from you too.
I Agree with all that you said.
I don't get near as much junk ( Spam,Brain dumps ...)as you do with A+. You must have your hands full moderateing the A+ forum.

| Didn't want to spark a big debate or cause a "fuss" just wanted a simple answer to a simple question and it has been answered eloquently by the founder of examnotes in private email. There is nothing sinster or decieving going on here. Sorry for any insinuations or confusion on my part and I would like to thank Super tech for expanding my vocabulary beyond "fuss". | |
