First off, thanks everyone for their words of encouragement. You know who you are! I really does help to stare at a SCSI chart for hours on end.

I walked out of the testing center Server+ certified and feeling darn good. I finished all 80 questions plus a quick review with about 14 minutes to go and I am very thankful it is over with.

For those interested in taking this test:
-you NEED to know SCSI along with the cable lengths and data throughput.
-hot swap, hot plug, hot spare
-backup devices and media specifications
-differences in troubleshooting hardware level versus OS/software level
-the different backup rotation schemes along with the amount of media needed
-know when to use documentation and logs

Surprisingly, I only recall getting a couple of questions regarding non-Windows OS such as Linux and NetWare.

Materials used during my 1.5 months of preparation:
Server+ Bible (Hungry Minds) <- good stuff
Server+ Certification (Microsoft) <- good
Server+ for Dummies (Hungry Minds) <- good
Server+ Exam Cram (Coriolis) <- useless imo
Server+ Study Guide (Sybex) <- not worth it
numerous practice tests
plus my modest amount of small server experience

Thanks again guys!

..you are guys are awesome with all the support and the patience in answering my made up Server+ questions with included explanations.

The passmark was set at 75 and I received an 81. I guess it was alright, but I had hoped to do better. I had a couple brain freezes on two questions I should have had right. But again, I'm thankful its over.

Oh yeah, it was no rest for the weary as I zipped over to a local highschool for an interview. I was interviewed by a 3-person panel, but I think everything went well. Crossing my fingers as I'm trying to beat out 4 other guys for a network administrator position.
