| Guys, do any of you have any tips or hints on making all the SCSI protocols and cable lengths stick in my brain in addition to straight memorization? I'm pretty confident on the rest of the objectives so I know I have a chance to pass. Much appreciated. | |

| Twist is right. I just had to keep beating it into my head until it stuck. | |

| I agree with the other guys but here are some wierd memory joggers. "Ultra3 is never narrow and Speed always doubles."
So write down the narrow speeds
....Narrow........wide
5...scsi-1........n/a
10..fast..........20
20..ultra.........40
40..ultra-2.......80
"Ultra 3 is never narrow ans speed always doubles" so ultra3 starts at 160 and can do Double Data Rate (like DDR RAM) to 320.
I never came up with a catchy thing for the 6, 3, 12, 25 with an occasional 1.5 cable length problem. Just had to stare at it like the other guys.
I tried something with the original SCSI was a half-fast implementation but I could not get anywhere with it other than club standup comic lines.

| Bah! What are you all good for?! Just kidding guys.
But I knew it. I guess I will have to keep staring at the specs some more. Thanks for the attempt though.

| Find some particular reference on the web... A chart or table with the desired specs. Copy & paste to Word, change the font to something big and bold, print out for a large page to stare at.

| That's pretty much the plan. I will have scraps of paper with SCSI specs and using flash cards all day. I WILL commit the information needed. |
