We just added 100 brand new questions to our Server+ practice exam on Cert21.com. It now contains 300 practice question, all with quality explanations.

Just like the rest of our practice questions, these new 100 questions are similar to the actual exam questions.

Extra! Extra! Today, Sunday, April 21, 2002 we've added another 80 new questions and also removed 20 old and oudtaged questions.

The Server+ test on Cert21.com now contains 440 questions with explanations.

The access to full-version exam is $34.95 for 30 days.

Thanks for your info.

I have a question for you on this practice exam. How does it work????? Once I bought the exam, do I download the exam to my pc??? or issue a password to access website ???

As you can tell, I have not bought any online exam to study and passed any certification exams. I used my own experience and book. I think I am going to need extra help on Server+ exam.

Thanks,
neuralfx

THE PRICE FOR THE SERVER PLUS 300 QUESTIONS IS VERY REASONABLE BUT ALLOWING ONLY 30 DAYS OF "UNLIMITED" USAGE IS NOT GOOD AT ALL.I WONDER WHAT THEY THINK WHEN THEY OFFER UNLIMITED USAGE.DO THEY THINK WE ARE GOING TO STUDY 12 TO 18 HOURS A DAY???
I WOULD TAKE THE PROGRAM ONLY IF THERE WERE FREE TIME EXTENSIONS SAY UP TO A YEAR.
A YEAR IS FAR TOO LONG BUT AT LEAST YOU KNOW IF ANYTHING WENT WRONG WITH YOUR SCHEDULE YOU COULD GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH IF YOU KEPT EXTENDING THE TIME.
COME ON EXAMNOTES/CERT21, PLEASE GET MORE USER FRIENDLY.

I haven't used the server + test, but I have used the A+ core and OS. Although I found a few mistakes and some typo's, I found it to be very usefull. As for the 30 day limit, it was more than enough. I would say well worth the money for me. I only used them towards the end of my studies to help me gauge the area's where I was weak. I read my books and study material a great deal, and tried to stay away from brain dumps, I want to earn my tests and have the respect of my peers.

Hi web master,
If I pay for the server+ exam, can I still access online at anytime plus receive a hardcopy of the 300 questions?

I believe the purpose of these "pratice" exams are to prepare for the actual exam, not study for it. There are plenty of great exam prep books on the market. If you are serious about earning a cert, you should also be serious about knowing the material. Here is a link to probably one of the best books on the market:

Good price too! (And no, I don't get kickbacks for recommending this book. Wish I did though. )

Per my previous post, I just read the review on the Mike Myers book. Found it was not written by him. Written by Stephen Bigelow, and according to the review, was not that good. My apologies for that. Might find this one better. I have used the Sybex books and they are usually pretty good.

The full version exam is still just $22.95 and there is a free demo.

We have also increased the number of free questions in the demo mode to 24 from 20.

I hate to be negative, but I was just on cert21.com, and either you have not updated the site, or something else is wrong. I wanted to test my knowledge on Server+, so I was taking the demo test. Only got a total of 20 questions. Also, checked the price of upgrade to full, and saw this:

Our full version Server+ practice exam contains 380 questions and no banner ads!
Instant activation for only $29.95 for 30 days unlimited access!

Is this a mistake? Your post states different price and number of questions.

Actually the Sybex Server+ book
was being recalled or redone because
It was way off target.
(check out the reviews on Amazon.com for it)

This is the book I am getting because it seems to have the highest rating all the way around. I will let you know how it is once I get it in. Here is a link:

I guess I should address the to MRFIXIT.

This board has written a few reviews about Server+ books these past couple of months! Why did you recommend a book that it appears you did not read, then realized that Mike Meyers did not write the first book you suggested that they should try the second book instead now?

If you where to even look at the reviews of these two(2) books on Amazon.com or BookPool.com you will see that both were crap (overall 1-1/2 Stars from 12 reviews for Sybex S+ on Amazon says "Don't Buy It" to me)!!!

The 1st edition of the Sybex Server+ book is/was to be re-written to align with the exam objectives, ask out Server+ Moderator for details might help too. Sybex books were very good for Windows NT 4.0 exams and also the previous CompTIA exams but not so for Server+ or the Windows 2000 exams with some possible exceptions.

I would suggest that people buy the IDG Server+ Certification Bible (or New Riders) Server+ book(s) & Coriolis Server+ Exam Cram books. Then maybe a Test Yourself Server+ Book for nothing but questions (=< $14.00 plus S/H). If you can afford the Transcenders, SelfTest, MeasureUPS then buy one of them too. Skip the BrainDumps, TroyTechs & Cheet-Sheets, you are only cheating yourself.

PS: Don't believe ANY reviews by Michael Woznicki on Amazon.com (Top 10 Reviewer) seeing he is paid to write reviews yet never could he read 500+ books in the last couple of years, 98% are 4 or 5 Stars -- Bull$hit !! I wish I could get a refund back NO thanks to him.

HI,
I just purchased your test and seems pretty good, I score above 85 each time.
How close is this to the actual exam?

Thank You

After reviewing online resources and reading the Server+ exam cram by Corilis I took the exam and failed by 5% - pass is 75%. The Examcram RedBook really didn't help much and not having much realworld experience in dealing with servers and server environments was probably my biggest disadvantage. I do plan on taking the exam again and I have purchased 30-day access to the cert21 Server+ exam sims. The questions I've taken so far are close to the actual exam but the exam questions were longer and more in depth. I should, however, be able to score higher the second time around.
