| Hey all.
I am looking into Server+.
I want to know does anyone how has their cert been compensated for it?
Has anyone seen job postings for it?
Do employers recognize it?
The questions may have a slight negative overtone, but I just don't want to waste my time and money on it if employer's aren't gonna see the benefit of it.
Thx. | |

| Doesn't seem popular right now, but after A+, N+ has seemed to grow only slowly in popularity. I think it could be a couple years until this has been in the market to be better recognized. However, one light is that is can be used, with A+, to skip an MCSA elective. Also, I think Novell uses it as a continuing education credit for MCNEs if you want to wait until your MCNE to take it then .
Rather, studying for Server+ will enhance your skills greatly. It's a challenging exam, and well worth the time. | |

| I just wanted to share with you that I am taking courses at my college and Server+ was a new class offered . They threw me in there Literally and I was thinking to myself what a Waste! I have been in that class for about 1 1/2 weeks and I can tell you I have learned more in this class about real world situations. Cable management arms, Server placement, Raid, Scsi. This is like a combination of A+ and NET+ on steroids! It does help that I have a brilliant instructor, but really there are so many things that were left unanswered by other classes, that this class is making clear. I don't know your situation, experience, etc. but I think this would be an incredible certification to acquire, and when employers see what is covered may even become a future requirement.
I like the fact that as usual it is vendor neutral.
Hope this helps!
