Sybex Server+ book to be revised due to weaknesses in the text!

| I contacted Sybex to find out why their Server+ book was not exactly as we expected(if you check out the reviews on this book at Amazon.com you will see what I mean).
The response I received from Sybex goes as follows:
"The issue you raise concerning the Server+ Study Guide is more valid and we
are currently looking into revising that particular title. The problem
there had less to do with the beta exam (again, the author and reviewers
all took it), but with the confusion surrounding the Job Role Description,
Concepts and Skills, and Objectives documents related to the Server+ exam.
Typically our authors write to a single objectives list and then modify the
book based on what they see on the beta. Such was not the case with Server+
and we have identified weaknesses in the text that can only be addressed
with a significant revision."
I hope the people with the Sybex Server+ book
reads this

| I know, I read the reviews at Amazon and I was shocked since Sybex has done so well by me in the past, but I certainly wasn't going to depend on it for the Server+ this time . . . a few bad reviews in one thing, but ALL bad reviews is quite another. Kind of a bummer, as this will hurt their reputation some. |
