Anyone taken the beta?
|
|
|
| Hey! anyone taken the beta test? | |
|
| No, not yet. I am contemplating it. I took the Network+ yesterday, and will take the I-Net+ next week. The next step is MCSE 2000. However, I do plan on taking CCDA, and maybe Server+. The question is, do we want to be the "guinea pigs" for this exam? It may be relatively easy or difficult. Who knows. I can't decide yet.

| Oh man! there isnt anyone that took the beta? | |
|
| It would be nice to even know what to use as study materials. I haven't found anything yet. I know that Sybex, and the others haven't published anyting yet.

| I did the Beta test and found it a well made test with some tricky questions and a few questions with answers that need to be altered for future use. I like to share more information with you all in the time to come.

| Took the Beta test a bit more than a week ago. Not sure how I did.
I must argue that it was not that well-written. (One question in particular asked me to choose two answers but the test software only allowed one!) I made many comments during the test.
But, if you are taking it, here is what I would study:
1. RAID
-0/1, 0, 1, 5
-external drive arrays
-troubleshooting
2. SCSI
-lots of stuff
-external drive arrays
3. UPS systems
-troubleshooting
4. Server configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting
Hmmm... not a very good list. Well, download and read the Server+ Exam Blueprint documentation. It is proabaly your best bet.
Good Luck,
Lawrence
