| is this certification actually valuable in the job market? I mean, I put LPI in Monster.com and did not get a single return. Do employers actually know about this cert? | |

| LPIC would be regarded as good if not better than any linux certification. It is one of the pre-requisite for NCLP (Novell certified Linux Prof) hence carries a significant weightage. | |

| Linux certs aren't too valuable in the job market. If you're being interviewed by upper non-technical management, or a bunch of Windows guys, it might impress them even though they won't know even know what LPI is. If you're being interviewed by hardcore Linux guys, you'll probably be sneered at. Time and effort could be better spent elsewhere. |
