Well I've had a good day and a bad day. The good side is I passed my Linux+ today. The bad side is I took Friday and Monday off. I was so glad to Finally have a day off I forgot to back up our servers at work. And wouldn't you know Friday would be the day someone decides to erase our sales history.... I come home to about 10 messages on my answering machine..

L+ was quite easy, wasn't it?

Just like all other comptia one's I guess. Although It did highlight several things I need to touch on like reconfiguring the kernel.

Reconfiguring the kernel isn't a part of Linux+

Not an in detail question just a when and why type questions relating to modules and checking for support for devices.

Gratz on the L+

What did the voucher cost? Did your employer pay for it? What advice do you have for someone who is deciding between the LPI and the L+ cert?

The test was 207USD. My company didn't pay for this one(we are a M$ shop.) And after the past couple of days I'm not going to ask them for anything... This is was just A+ with linux. I imagine that the LPI cert would provide more of a feeling of acomplishment.

On the bad side of my original post. When I recieved my phone call Friday about the great f' up and the lack of a backup tape from the night before, I got into the server and made a copy of the SQL .BAK file that ran the night before. I guess that saved my job and maybe I can finally get a little more training in SQL Server.
