Hi,

I just recently installed Redhat on my laptop and after the installation it takes you to a final reboot but the booting sequence kept hanging and nothing happens during ...Starting pcmcia:

My laptop hanged up (cant activate the capslock key).

How can I prevent the kinux from looking onto the pcmcia to go ahead with the booting? I know I must install a pcmcia driver but I cant proceed due to this.

Regards

I have the exact same problem. Being a complete n00b to linux the only way I could find out how to "fix" this was to disable pcmcia support before the install. I can't seem to find the command right now but it is something like

linux pcmcia=no

That isn't it but I'm sure you get the point. My laptop is a Compaq Presario 2100.
