| IBM continued to win Linux deals in governmental agencies across Europe late last week, announcing six deals that included one of Finland's major pension providers, Spain's Ministry of Finance and France's Ministry of Education.
The growing adoption of Linux among European government agencies follows a recent deal in which the Munich City Council, in Germany, decided to migrate from Windows products to the Linux open-source operating system. | |

| somehow news release can always spin it from something like getting locked into a single vender hardware solutions to something that sounds noble, like go open source!!!
it is much more about they deciding on ibm's eserver pruchase and ibm's support contract than it has anything to do with it being linux, AIX, or windows, which in light of the cost of the hardware, is relatively insignificant.
edit: oh I am too negative, go IBM! |
