| I don't get what you are asking. There is no real "user profile" per se in Linux. Do you mean the /etc/passwd file? There is a system wide file named /etc/profile for system wide environment and startup programs - and also local ones can be created through a .profile in a home directory. But I don't know what you are seeking. | |

| You got the jist of it. For example, if I was some commands aliased everytime I login, or a different path set, where would I put this. If I wanted everyone to have the aliases 'mapped' when they login, or everyones default path changed, where would I put that.
