Is there a way to "Share" a folder on Linux to access from a network?

This I have done with partial luck. You need to configure Samba.

Yeap....Samba. That's if you are sharing between a Windoze and Linux machine. If you are sharing between two Linux/Unix machines, you would use NFS. Read This
when you get a chance.

I have Samba and even SWAT and I see an icon for "Shares" but when I set it up I still can't get to it.

Time to hit the books!!
