| Has anyone tried this distro?
I installed it few days ago and found that
the graphical install was pretty easy.
Yast2 is neat and really practical for newbies, takes care of dependancies for example.
The only thing that bothers me is that slocate is not provided with the os...
Neither is it installed nor foundable on any of the 3 CDs.
I'm waiting for your replies...
BTW how can I disable MCOP??? Is it in .xinitrc? | |

| I have a PIII 600 test box just for playing with new Distro's on. ASUS motherboard & everything is hardware / no winmoden or onboard anything - etc.....
It will load anything MS but XP. XP does load but it doesn't like the BIOS, so there are problems.
It will Load Anything Novel
It will load OS/2 & any one of the 3 flavors of DOS I have
It has loaded Solaris, All BSD's & ALL Linux distro's untill this one.
I have too many hardware issues with it & haven't got a good load in the three attempts I've made.
I look forward to taking a good look at it once they get it right.
But untill then - thumbs down - I give it an F
