How to find out spare volume space without GUI tools?
|

|
| Hey guys
We have a problem with a linux box that we think is related to lack of space on a volume. How do we check this without GUI tools?

| man fdisk from the command line gives up quite a bit of info, fdisk -f appears to be the command.
having done that though, I find on my redhat box, that fdisk will not run from a command line and that the only fdisk file is compressed. fdisk.8.gz
I wonder if I have to umpack it first, then somehow link it to the command line interface to get it to work?
I also tried su into root and running from there, nogo.
oops, that must just be the man/info file, how then do I get fdisk?
