| Well I finally figured out how to resolve name reslotion of my windows machince from my linux box. It was starring me the face the whole time. I go into the network configuration and add the hostname and ip of a couple of my windows machinces so now I can ping them by name from the redhat box.
Linux one step at a time and everything will be just fine. http://www.examnotes.net/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif | |

| Great work! Linux is all about solving your own problems, so feel proud of yourself. Now once you are ready for a a challenege, try to get DNS and BIND up and running properly so this won't be a problem next time. | |
