| heh... trying to troubleshoot why my evolution + spamassassin receive/filter my emails so slow (approx 3 sec / message... so as I am downloading 534... you can imagine how long htat takes.
anyway, load up system monitor and check... it is constantly 90% + and many time at 101% ... heh...
(spamassin using about 15-50% when view using top for a system 800mhz w/512 memory)
anyway, I would have to check its documentation and see if there is anyway I can tweak some of the config...as no body seem to use it here but I think 101 percent is kind of funny.
edit:
heh just saw a 102%! | |

| little followup
things I find regarding spamassassin, would need to do more digging.
cut/paste begin
I have found that with a:
- single 450, IDE drive, 256MB RAM I can run about 25 messages per
minute running Qmail-scanner calling Spamassassin and ClamAV.
- single 450, IDE drive, 384MB RAM I can run about 30 messages per
minute running Qmail-scanner calling Spamassassin and ClamAV.
- single 450, IDE drive, 256MB RAM I can run about 45 messages per
minute running -just- Spamassassin
- dual 800, SCSI drive, 640 MB RAM I can run about 85 messages per
minute running Qmail-scanner calling Spamassassin and ClamAV.
All these were identical 15K messages that were SPAM. RBL checks were
disabled for these tests.
just a little FYI incase anyone actually gonna use it be it at client box or at mail server. | |

| Might want to submit a bug report to the developers. |
