Author problems updating RH on dual-boot

I have a laptop with RH7.3 and W2K. RH is loaded first and is using GRUB with chainloader to point to W2k. Everything works great except that I cannot seem to get RH to update to 8.0 I put the disc in and it goes through anaconda, but then stalls on selecting an install template (W/S, Server, etc.) the upgrade option is not available at all.

I don't want to delete either OS at this point.

Can anyone tell me how updates are supposed to work through grub?

I have found it best to partition the drive and load windows first. Then load RH and use the grub boot loader. In fact most linux distros suggest loading windows first. Try this and it might fix your problems
