| Im a CCNA and about to get my MCSA vut with the popularity of Linux growing I thought i should really go for a linux cert now. I know of the LPI programme and the RHCE cert. Are ther any other certs and which one(s) should i take?? | |

| Would agree with Boulware5. CompTIA's Linux+ is the entry level cert to go for if you're just breaking into Linux. LPI can be done as well, but I wouldn't even think about RHCE if you are a beginner. RHCE can be heinous and is really geared at guys with several years of experience under their belt. You get a written exam and a lab practical thrown at you as I have seen this many times at my training center.
It really helps if you have prior experience with either UNIX or Linux commands at it will cut down your study time. Having A+ is a definite plus as well considering there will be some hardware questions on the test.
Good luck! | |

| Linux+ is sure the entry level cert for Linux and able to equip you with essential knowledge. |
