| Excellent article. Thank you! I have printed out a couple copies and plan to show them to some of my clients. I think Linux is an easy sell cost-wise, it is just convincing them that the OS is user friendly and can do everything MS can do. I think KDE 3 and KOffice (or possibly Word Perfect) can get me over that hump.

That gives another perspective, but this one is focused more on the home users. To make Linux on the desktop practical, one needs to think in terms of what needs to be accomplished. For businesses, at least in most cases, I don't see a problem unless specialised software is needed. | |
