I want to study Linux. Any ideas from where to star.

YupYup....

The best distro for newbies is Mandrake with Red Hat right behind. Linux runs fine on older machines, so if you have an old 486 lying around, that would be fine. Running X windows will require a little more umph though. But that is fine for the Linux shell.

Go out to http://www.linuxiso.org and download a distro's ISO (preferably Mandrake). My guess is a "Dummys" Linux book will be good to get if you are new. There are many nice Linux sites with tutorials/forums/documentation. The main portal for Linux links is http://www.linuxlinks.com

Feel free to ask anything at all in this forum because it can get dead here.
