i don't know anything about Linux, and i was wondering if there is a manual that explains how to install/configure linux, with pictures.

Also, the beauty of Linux is it's extremely well documented. Be sure to check out http://www.linuxlinks.com/

And probably my favorite Linux/help/tutorial site is http://www.linuxjunior.org. They have "plain english" tutorials, a chat room (that I sometimes visit), and a very nice message board where people answer your beginner to advanced questions.

Don't be afraid to ask anything here - no matter how basic it is.

Agreed. RH is pretty easy to deal with, so you probably won't need tha manual for the install. It installs easier than Windows. But make sure you have a basic knowledge of your hardware as it often comes in handy . . . how much video RAM, posrt your modem is on, scan frequency and so on. They might come in handy. Write down any error messages you get and post them here.
