| Have you mounted the CD-ROM within Linux?
mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom/
Then change to /mnt/cdrom/ and you can access your CD.
Most modems will probably work in Linux. The thing you got to watch for is WinModems - they are notorious for beeing uncompatible with *Nix. | |

| Set your pc to boot from the cd . Mandrake has a simple setup program you should be to figure out . As far as modems make sure you have a real modem not a winmodem . It is easier than you think. | |

| Rbud, from what I got out of it, he can't access his CD-ROM in Linux. I think he already has Linux installed. | |
|
| OK I see . He just has to mount the cd . In Mandrake to mount the cd he just has click on the cd icon and it will mount. |
