| Today I passed the Linux+, mixed feelings on this one though. Relieved I passed, disappointed that I did not score better. I was expecting a score in the 800 range, ended up with a 720. It was harder than I thought it would be. I used and studied 3 Books: Exam Cram By Micheal Jang, Sybex by Roderick Smith, and Linux+ Certification Bible by Trevor Kay. I was scoring in the high 80's, low 90's on the practice exams. I do wish I would have gone through my Marcel Gagne "Linux System Administration" book a little more. This is a really good book on Linux!!!! I concentrated a little to much on .tar and .rpm stuff, com ports, lpt ports. I knew LILO well, but had 1 Question on the difference with GRUB and I had no CLUE! Hardware questions were ambiguous., ie, external modem connection ports. I don't recall many questions on processes,ie,PID and how to kill them. Know the difference of init 0 and a shutdown -h now, that one threw me for a loop. Tough test for me though. Took it to lightly I guess.
Good Luck to all who take this Exam!

| Great job! The hardware questions really brought my score down as well, but the rest I thought was pretty easy. Anyway, welcome to the club! | |
