Caldera offer linux education
|

| The Linux company last week introduced its OpenLearning Courseware for Linux,
The course covers 31 areas of Linux system administration and
troubleshooting, including how to set up, configure and keep a
Linux network running. Other topics cover how to run network
services based on Linux servers, including Web and e-mail
servers, as well as firewall security configuration with Linux.
All of the 31 Linux topics are packaged into a self-contained
"Learning Unit," which the company says can help for quick
absorbing of the material. The Learning Units are divided among
five course or tracks within the OpenLearning system, with each
unit spanning over two to five days. The five tracks are:
* Linux System Administration.
* Linux Network Infrastructure.
* Linux Network Services.
* Linux Enterprise Administration.
* Linux Enterprise Security.
Caldera will offer the OpenLearning Linux certification program
through authorized education partners worldwide. A complete
guide to the OpenLearning courses and locations for education
providers can be found at:

| I started out using Caldera but switched when they started charging for per-seat licenses. I think it is cheaper and more effective to just teach yourself Linux than to go to a class for it. |
