freevrrpd works kind of like Cisco's HSRP only it can be used with FreeBSD. It allows you to assign one IP address to multiple systems. It looks like this isn't load balancing. There's a master/slave relationship (sound familiar?) so if the master goes down a slave takes over.

Seems cool ccieToBe, now I know you're a real Cisco/Unix nut for real. LOL Cos these stuff are the real IT stuff especially for someone like me that needs a remedy from MS$ point & click GUI's.
