Page 9 of your study guide (Linux+ for freaks) you say to restart the inetd daemon by:

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/inetd.conf restart

...and do the same for stop and start.

However, I thought you restart it with:

#/etc/rc.d/init.d/inetd restart

(without the .conf extension on the end)

Is your way just an alternative way that works or a typo?

BTW, very nice guide so far. I have just gone through some of it and you seem to explain things clearly and completely.

Yikes. It's an error. Thanks for pointing it out. You use the name of the dameon and not the name of the configuration file to start or stop services. By the way, if ever in doubt, try it and see. I'll notify freak of the error. Glad you find the guide so useful.
