| Hey guys just a quick question. I've been running RH 8.0 for a week straight now without even a flicker from my monitor (I love it) but I still notice that even though it sees 254mb of my 256mb of memory it still seems to be running slow in some area's. For instance when i'm in the GUI and I click on an app. it seems to take a few seconds to long for app. to appear(is this normal)I even went to the games and tried to play Tux Racer and it ran like it was in slow motion. I also have no sound from my sound card. It sees the card, it acknowlegded the card during install but when I went to test it, no sound. I'm running it on a Dell Optiplex GX150 with 256mb ram, 40GB HD, NVidia TNT2 video card, with no other partitions. Any help would be mucho appreciato. | |

| Do you have the NVIDIA Linux drivers for that card? | |

Fcking M$ frame of mind. See I didn't even think of that. I was waiting for RH to tell me what to do, just like I did with M$. Thanks Boulware please be patient with me while I go through my M$ detox. You understand when I saw that RH saw my Sound card I thought it was a given.
My Mistake(Microsoft way of thinking). Thanks

| Yeah see if your sound card offers Linux drivers.
As for your vid. card, check out the newly released Nvidia Linux drivers It includes OpenGL and other goodies. But read through the README very carefuly and follow it step-by-step. It's nowhere near as easy installing this for Linux as it is for winblowz. I myself am getting a GeForce 2 GTS and hopefully I can install these myself without problems.
