Author Samba using swat question

I have been fooling around with samba for a bit. I can access all windows shares from the linux box box. I can see the "Linuxserver" workgroup I specified in the smb.conf file
but I can access it because there are no shares I believe. This past weekend I finally figured out that I in deed did not have swat installed which is why I couldn't access 127.0.0.1:901 duh

I installed swat and used the much easier to user web gui to create a share. swat also saw the other share I made when I was fooling with the smb file. Ok so I have a share but the windows machines still can't see it. What am I doing wrong while setting up these shares? Should I use the command I used before to refresh the xintd service?

Thanks
Mr. Linux Guy
