| Well I finaly got RH 7.3 insalled but it keeps freezing up and I can not shut the system down Just keeps rebooting. Have to shut computer off manualy.

| Before RH 7.3 what OS did you have it on and did these weird things happen? | |

| I am runnig win 2000 on one hard drive and linux on the other. Never had a problem with win 2000.
Only happens in Linux. | |

| hmmm...My guess is your have some hardware that RH isn't liking. I'd verify compatibility. | |

| Gee I hope not but it does seem that way.
I try to install RH 2 times and each time I got a diffrent effect as to say. One time it would not boot from the cd had to got to Dos and start the install. Next time it took three reboots for the install to start from the cd.. I am running an older machine only a 533 gateway intell chip set nothing fancy.
I am using a cd-Rw to run the install. Think this could be the problem?? | |

| Wish I knew why it's doing that....Maybe for the heck of it try another distro (or even RH 8.0) and see what happens? You can get ISOs from linuxiso.org. |
