| I know that this may seem like a dumb question, but indulge me if you would?
After you got certified with A+, what was the next step for you??
I am just curious.....

| After passing the A+ exams I took about 6 months off from studying for certs to learn more about PCs and basic networking before moving on to Network+.
Congrats on the passes.

| I've been working in the field for a little over a year now. I'm the only IT employee of a small company, so I do a little bit of everything which has been great. Small companies usually don't pay as well as the larger ones, but you're likely to learn a lot more.
I thought the Network+ test was way too easy, but from what I've heard CompTIA's made it a little tougher since then.
I'll change the congrats to good luck.

| Well thanks for the support...
How did you best prepare for your A+
and what do you have in your sites for the future?
Sounds like you have a great learning oppurtunity and getting paid to do that as well.
Cheers,

| Meyer's book was the main thing I used for studying. I also built a PC from scratch which helped out a lot. Before taking the exam I went over the dummies book which was a good review, but not enough to pass the test with by itself.
My main focus right now is graduating with an AS in Networking Technologies in December which involves taking the Windows 2000 Server exam. After that I'll finally finish up the CCNP/CCDP exams. |
