| how can i make a user memeber of the group that can add users and delete users. the only way i can do this right now is by manually console as root | |

| Make your username a member of the "wheel" group. Then when you want to have root privilages type "su" and the root password when prompted. After you're finished acting as root type "exit". | |

| i did make him memeber of wheel and im able to su root, however i can addusers being root
i can only accomplish this when im log in through console as root ...you know why??
also where can i find out info about the relationship of this groups and what rights they have... | |

I'm not to sure what you're asking. Are you saying that you can't add groups after you su? Also, are you asking for general information on groups, or the wheel group specifically? | |

| I'm not sure what the problem is. If you've been doing some security tweaks, especially with chown and/or chmod, then this may have caused what's happening. Maybee Randy will have some idea of what's going on. |
