Novell Linux - just for a laugh

| You may be interested to know that Novell have released a (relatively) new technology in their ZEN3 for Desktops product for workstation, in the form of Imaging.
The interesting part is it uses a Linux Kernel and Boot to do this.
The really interesting bit is, if you are not using one of the standard NICs from their list, you need to compile your own driver.
Not so easy if your just a humble Novell boy! I dont BASH too well. | |

| Interesting. Is any of the Linux functionality included in the starter pack? Hopefully Novell included some generic drivers that work with most NICs, that's what most Linux distros do. | |

| well.. to be honest.. this is nothing new.. Novell owns Caldera and SCO Unix... and when you install Novell... well if you pay attention you are using the X-server...

| Yeah, and NetWare comes with Caldera's version of DOS. I didn't know NetWare actually owned Caldera/SCO. | |

| ya they've owned caldera for awhile, and they just bought SCO... it was a smart move... no offense to novellians but... well there's not much.. well anything.. that nw can do that linux/bsd/etc cant do.. and do well.. and cheaper.. and with a fully functional tcp/ip stack...
