| Man you really lucked out! Congrats on getting such a good deal. You almost never see a tech book that cheap. Bets of luck on the test. | |

| To me, I would like to choose English version if I am going to take the cert. even my English standard is not very good.
Don't rely on this book too much. I would rate this book 60 out of 100. Pay attention to all objectives (Very important!)
Make sure you know all objective set by LPI before you sit for the exam.

| Thank for your advice. If you read my another post, you would know I bought the English version of O'Reilly LPI.
I believe many guys in HK who buy Chinese version simply is the problem of money concern. However, I am real interesting about your experience in LPI. Can you share it with me?

| You may use the ExamPrep (not ExamCram) for base as reference. Try to do the M.C. after each chapter and ensure you at least 80% correct.
I spend 1 week time to study the book. 2-3 chapter each day. After that, Go to LPI Official Web Site to study the sample questions. There are several types questions:
1. T/F
2. Single/Multiple's M.C
3. Fill in the blank
You have to follow the objectives set by LPI straightly since many questions depend upon. Even though there are some seldom use command questions being asked (you can see from objective), you have no choice.
You have a chance to be asked different Linux distribution (Redhat's rpm and Debian's apt) 3-4 questions on that.

| I have heard the examprep enough for 101 only (although the content seems cover 102). Is it truth?
I would like to know how difficult of 102 and how to prepare 102(still examprep?). Is it much harder than 101?
I notice you got many certificates... Were you an IT school instructor?

| Yes, the ExamPrep should be enough for LPIC L1 for both 101 and 102 test. To me, I scored exam 102 higher than 101.
If you want to pass with sure, you are better to play around Linux about 1 to 2 years in order to familiar with the basic command.
In the exam, you may be asked some commands which are really really seldom use (e.g. tee, tr,etc ...) However, it is mentioned in the LPIC L1 exam objectives.
Finally, I am not IT school trainer but future might be.
Good Luck. |
