| Interesting. One thing I like about Linus is he says it like it is. | |

| Yeah, you can't reaqlly accuse hom of trying to be a salesman! You read his book yet? It's definitely not great lit, but is an interesting look at how the development of Linux got started. | |

| Haven't read it yet. I'll probably read it after I get out of Novell and M$ land and back to a *nix/Cisco focus (about a month). | |

| Are you doing your MCSE now? After I get my HP-UX in a couple of weeks, it looks like I'll get a few MCP's before finishing my CCNP. | |

| Right now I'm working on the CNA. Assuming I can get the exam voucher from my professor in time I'll take the exam Monday. After that I'll work on the 2000 Server exam and possibly take 2000 Professional after that. I seriously doubt that I'll go all the way for MCSE anytime soon since that's the kind of work I want to get away from.
After Novell and Microsoft, I'll buy a couple routers and resume working on the CCNP exams.
Sounds like we're a couple weeks out of sync on what we're studying. Good luck on the HP-UX exam. | |

| Well, I have one CNA for GroupWise 5.5 (which is a bloated piece of garbage IMHO), but that was the only Novell product that I had any real administrative contact with. All 7 MCSE exams I think are a bit much, for three reasons: 1) Microsoft sucks, 2) Windows 2003 (recertify!!!) and 3) I have limited exposure to all of their priducts that one would need to get the MCSE where I am at, and don't want to go the paper MCSE route. I will get the Pro and maybe the server MCP's, but as for the rest, it really depends. I'd rather concentrate on Cisco, though.
On a different note, my boss says that there is a possibility of them financing classes for the CIW cert as well as some Cisco stuff for those that are interested, so that's cool. I wan't looking at the CIW, but it looks pretty easy, and Cisco rules, so if possible I will take them up on the offer. I sat the Linux+ yesterday. It's a joke.
Anyway, best of luck with Novell. |
